Calvary Christian Church

Sunday School

Nursery and Toddlers (Newborn to 2 years)

Here at Calvary Christian Church, we believe Psalm 127:3 “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.”  The presence of children is a sign of a vibrant church.

We want to care for your children as Christ admonished in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” We want to share the love of Christ with each precious child!

We have 3 components to our infant & toddler care at Calvary.

  1. Nursing Mother’s Room
  2. Infant Nursery: Age 0 to walking
  3. Toddler Nursery: walking to 2 years

Please note: Infant and toddler care are available during both Sunday School and the regular service. No childcare is available during worship.

Our Nursing Mother’s room is a cozy environment with a changing table and bassinet.  For your comfort and privacy, this room is only shared with other nursing mothers.

There is a speaker with volume control in this room, so you can listen to the service as you nurse your baby.

The Calvary Infant nursery (Birth to Walking) is our place to “have and to hold”  so that you can enjoy the preaching of the Word.

Our volunteers are ready and willing to care for the needs of your little one in a safe and warm atmosphere. If you are needed, an usher will notify you, or a nursery attendant can text you.

The Walker Nursery  (Walking to 2 years) is the place of constant mobility, little people on the move!

Here we have a snack, play, sing songs … just what is needed to keep your toddler occupied while keeping in focus that even at this young age they can learn about Jesus.

If you are needed, an usher will notify you, or a nursery attendant can text you.

Suggestions to be ready when you come:

  • Label your child’s belongings.
  • For your toddler, a non-spill cup would be best to bring.
  • Be ready to tell us about your little person so that we know how to serve you.

From our members:

Janet, Nursery Volunteer– “ I like nursery duty because I like watching kids. It gives the other parents time to spend in service. Kids are fun to watch. I get to pour into their lives the things of God.”

Kirstie, Nursery Volunteer– “ As a mother of 5, I understand the importance of being in church to be fed the Word of God and refueled with fellowship. My children and I have received the benefits of the nursery, serving in the nursery now is my opportunity to give back.”
